How to access the free NCALNE Lite training on PathwaysAwarua.com

We’re writing a series of online interactive modules for educators that go together with our NCALNE (Voc) training on how to embed literacy and numeracy into trades and vocational training.

The first of these modules is now live on PathwaysAwarua. So far we have created an introductory module (Module 0) and the first two course modules. We’re working on Module 3 which should be finished shortly, and we’ll have modules 4 – 7 finished over the next couple of months.

One of the questions that we’re getting is

  • How do I access these modules?

The short answer is as follows:

  • You need to be registered as an educator on the PathwaysAwarua website.

If you are already registered as an educator with PathwaysAwarua

If you are already registered as an educator with PathwaysAwarua then the new NCALNE Lite modules will be listed in the righthand sidebar underneath the other Pathways professional development modules that you would have completed when you signed up.

If you are NOT already registered as an educator with PathwaysAwarua

If you are already registered as an educator with PathwaysAwarua you will need to register on the website. This is easy, but there are a couple of steps involved:

Pathways Reg

  1. Go to the Educator Registration page and fill in the form. This is Step1 and displayed on the left hand side of your screen (see the screen shot above). A short time after, you will receive your educator join code by email.
  2. Go back to the Educator Registration page fill in the second form on the right hand side of your screen. This will set up your username and password.

That’s it… From there you should be able to login and access the NCALNE Lite online training.

Once you are registered in the system you have access to the original professional development modules created by Pathways to teach you how to use their courseware, as well as the new NCALNE Lite. You can complete them in any order. Let us know if you have any trouble accessing the NCALNE Lite or if these instructions are incomplete.
