I’ve just put my noise cancelling headphones on. I’m in my office so it probably looks a bit odd as my staff and our local students are around. However, I’m trying out a new productivity strategy: Block out everyone and focus on learning how to create online course material.
Here are some great online resources about creating online content. These links come courtesy of Silicon Coach:
- The Seven Strategy Checklist for Your Online Course by Boettcher.
- The Ten Best Practices for Teaching Online Quick Guide for New Online Faculty by Boettcher.
- A summary of the Best Practices in Designing Online Courses from Las Positas College.
I’ve also downloaded this to my iPad for later reading: The online teaching survival guide: simple and practical pedagogical tips (2010) by Boettcher and Conrad (about $30 USD).
