Tracing the Space album artwork by INTERSTELLAR DRIFT featuring atmospheric nocturnal architecture and cinematic electronic aesthetics

Tracing The Space — Interstellar Drift

Tracing the Space is out now.

Tracing the Space arrives as the next phase of the INTERSTELLAR DRIFT arc — more embodied, more ensemble-driven, and more spatially alive. Bass, drums, guitars, percussion, analog textures, and drifting vocal fragments move together like a late-night band discovered somewhere between weather systems and signal loss.

This record leans further toward the “band that happens to use electronics” vision that has gradually emerged within INTERSTELLAR DRIFT. The sequencing, transitions, and connective tissue were treated as compositional elements in themselves — a slow-burn movement through widening horizons, restrained momentum, nocturnal atmosphere, and emotional drift. There are traces of Tycho, Bonobo, and Emancipator in the DNA, but the destination remains somewhere more liminal and unresolved.

Recommended for: night drives, headphones after midnight, long weather fronts, reflective movement, airports, threshold states, and staring out windows while processing something difficult or beautiful.

A permanent home for this album — including direct support and downloads — is being prepared.
