My friend, Cake, had a crisis. In the summer of 2018 with no warning, her quintessential American dream of a life abruptly came to a halt.

In less than a month, her seemingly normal, almost boring life went into a tail spin of chaos and destruction.

First, her mother was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. And a couple of weeks later she found out her husband was living a double life.

It hasn’t been easy, but she’s endured. And she determined that that trauma and devastation won’t define her.

She’s re-written her story. And we made this song.
