Many clinics currently rely on consumer streaming services for background audio without realising that commercial playback can involve both licensing obligations and platform usage restrictions.
At the same time, generic playlists are rarely designed specifically for healthcare environments.
ENVIRON explores whether carefully designed sound environments can help create calmer, more grounded clinical spaces for patients, staff, and visitors.
The ENVIRON Pilot
The ENVIRON pilot provides selected clinics with access to a small collection of purpose-designed sound environments intended for:
- waiting rooms
- reception areas
- patient transition spaces
- calm-focused clinical environments
The environments are designed to remain:
- low distraction
- non-lyrical
- emotionally steady
- professionally appropriate
- easy to implement
Pilot access is delivered through a simple browser-based streaming system requiring minimal setup.
Free Pilot Programme
ENVIRON is currently offering a limited free pilot for selected medical and dental clinics in New Zealand.
Pilot participants receive:
- one month of access
- simple implementation guidance
- optional feedback conversation
- no obligation to continue
